Guess who'd forgotten he'd filled out a Wimbledon ticket application and returned home this evening to find he's been allocated two tickets?

For Centre Court?

On the men's finals day?

Woohoo!

So is Andy Murray a great british sporting hero yet? Or still a gobby scottish git?

Since the LTA is fundamentally English - he's the best English tennis player for generations - until roughly the wimbledon quarter-finals - where he reverts to being a losing scottish git.

bit like that Canadian Greg Rusedski.

Don't think Murray had much to do with the LTA when he was younger. Went off to Spain to train as a kid as he (and his parents) thought the LTA system was rubbish? Mind you, he did use the LTA to get Brad Gilbert as a coach for a while.
