We will be in touch
Me and the wife need cheering up.
Need a recommendation for something pant-wettingly funny, new or old.
I thought Spy was unexpectedly funny.
Seems to be a dearth of laugh out loud comedies of late, tho.
Horrible bosses one and two or we are the millers
Blazing Saddles
Spies like Us
Blazing Saddles
Great minds, DickB!
Dark star
There's enough funny bits in Pride to qualify and it will definitely make you "feel good" at the end.
Be warned, though, you will cry.
Rachel
In Bruges
Super Troopers
The Three Amigos
Bad Taste
Deadpool
The Inbetweeners 1
But you may have more mature tastes, I'm only 48
Groundhog Day
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Hot Fuzz
Comedy horror? Leftfield but I laughed like a drain through Tucker And Dale Versus Evil.
Deadpool
Kingsman
Lego Movie
The second Johnny English film - Reborn?
Plus one for pride for a funny feel good film , also good vibrations and hunt for the wilder people are great films
im late but dumb and dumber was funny
Pretty much any of the above but Spy which should destroyed.
It's not a film, but pretty much every episode of Archer is laugh out loud funny.
Thanks all - liking the look of 'hunt for the wilder people' so we'll maybe give that a try. Something a bit left field.
How about a TV series. I have had some genuine LOL moments watching Modern Family on Netflix.
+1 for - Hunt for the wilder people, mainly for the Sarah Connor comment and the birthday song!
Despicable Me 2.
BA-nana.
Bad Grandpa
on the buses (the film)
Clockwise, with John Cleese,
tory party manifesto,
Hot Fuzz,
Coming in the summer...
Full disclosure, I may have had something to do with making it.
Airplane, Withnail & I, Galaxy Quest also good.
Austin Powers, (any of the 3 films) but Goldmember is particularly funny.
pretty much every episode of Archer is laugh out loud funny.
Literally.
Oh my god, Netflix is so rubbish. Barely any of the ones suggested above are on there... 👿
The Dictator. First five mins crap then genius.
Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Watched it last Sunday. Brilliant!
Eddie the Eagle - gentle but good fun.
In Bruges is a very good call too.
Recent films which have made me belly laugh;
We're the Millers
Horrible bosses 2
Both have Jennifer Aniston in, which is an added bonus.
Why him
Never stopped laughing all the way through
Blazing Saddles for definite!
Introduced my kids to Airplane and the Naked Gun the other week. They laughed their heads off all the way through both of them
Despicable Me 1 or 2
Wayne's World
The man with 2 Brains
Rat Race has its moments.
Clerks 2 is hilariously crude and made me laugh more than pretty much anything I can remember.
What we do in the Shadows.
Maybe not laugh out loud, but a constant level of funny throughout.
Life of Brian.
"Stop it! You're only making it worse for yourself!"
In and Out. If only for the dance scene.
Talladegla Nights!
'If you ain't first, your last'
Kingpin
Dodgeball(vince Vaughan and Ben stiller but funny regardless)
Old School (will Ferrell but still funny)
A knights tale.
Er......Spinal Tap.....end of!!
This is the end.
The Guard.
Brilliant film which seems to have been missed by most people.
Snatch and Lock Stock. But try The Money Pit too.
Grimsby. Purile laugh out loud moments
This is the end
Four Lions
Alpha Papa
The Producers
Team America World Police if you're in a purile mood
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Three amigos, as above. Especially for the birds scene. Mr Hulots holiday, esp for the tennis scene. Any Preston Sturgess, Will Hay or Marx Bros fillum.
Young Frankenstein
Imagine you've watched something by now but Blades of Glory, Anchorman and Little Miss Aunsgine would be go-to films in that situation.
Literally.
This is either a Cheryl reference, or you have no sense of humour 😛
Death at a Funeral.
Fletch - I know it's 80's cheese and stupid but it still makes me howl with laughter.
Four Lions
Stepbrothers
Happy Gilmore
The Waterboy
Ronal The Barbarian
Burn After Reading.
Have read mixed reviews but I watched it with glee and hooted with laughter. Too many great one-liners.
+1 Young Fronkensteen.
and 'The Producers' (original) for that matter.
and 'The Odd Couple' (Matthau, Lemmon)
and 'See No Evil, Hear No Evil?
'Life' - (Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy) is a rarely mentioned gem. That bit when he gets his toe stuck in the bottle and they are both laughing for real. Had us all in stitches. Great fun film.
Shaving Ryan's Privates.
it takes a lot to make me literally LOL at anything on telly, but the last time i did was a 6-part 'black comedy' series called 'Camping'. it was a sky series, written by and starring julia davis. i really recommend that everyone needs to watch this, and dont be fooled by the slow start 😀
if you dont laugh out loud exclaiming "wtf!!!!" in many many scenes then youre actually dead.
The Campaign is a favourite of Mrs Beaker and I. It sums up American politics beautifuly.
Introduced my kids to Airplane and the Naked Gun the other week. They laughed their heads off all the way through both of them
Top Secret next then
The Party was one of my favourites, but haven't watched it for maybe 25 years, so might not be funny anymore.
Grimsby was very funny, juvenile but very funny.
Dodgeball
I particularly laughed at lance armstrong's comedy turn...
(After getting through his cancers) 'with the help of my friends and family, I got back on the bike and won the Tour de France 5 times' (at the time)
Aye Lance, 'friends and family'...
Step brothers
Role models
Team America
Deadpool
'The cornetto trilogy' (Shaun of the dead, hot fuzz, the worlds end)
Tropic thunder
How come only one Adam Sandler film has been mentioned so far?! 😉
+1 for Four Lions and Burn After Reading. Don't think Sideways has been mentioned so far.
I don't know if this would be as funny now, but it really used to tickle my funnybone.
Featuring a young Kramer...

My wife and I find "Grown Ups" an excellent couples comedy. Some brilliantly choreographed moments. Even if you can see it coming from 200 yards away.
Most gene wilder classics are genuine laugh out loud.
Pink Panther classics still get me. Herbert Lom as the now super-villain Dreyfus in all his twitching paranoid-schizo giggling genius.
That scene when he's high as a kite on laughing gas having his front tooth pulled and Clouseaus's fake nose is melting!
What no " ME Myself & Irene " , well I'll go watch it myself then.

I hoped that people would notice the wink face. He is most certainly on my list for the first entrants to the B-Ark. How he has managed to find continuous employment as a comedy actor is beyond me. For some reason a previous housemate thought he was hilarious. I might put him on the list as well...
Actiallllllly..
Didn't he do "little Nicky" the silly Dracula film?? That was at least "smile" inducing.
🙂
Eddie the Eagle made me laugh out loud.
As well as a warm glow at the end.
🙂
Zoolander 1 - Obey my dog
