Looking to get a new satnav and the Garmins look quite good.

With the traffic receiver, how/where do you attach it?

Do you leave it in place the whole time or just when you want to use the sat nav – I don’t really travel that often!

Cheers.

its a thin piece of wire tht plugs into the power cable, basically its an fm aeriel, so its no big deal, usually works fine without it in u.k to be fair

With my last Garmin Sat Nav it was a thin wire and suction cup on the power lead as easygirl states. The Garmin that I purchased this year it is built into the unit it self.
If you can get a Garmin with lifetime map updates do so.

Cheers both, yes seen one with lifetime traffic and map updates as with my current Navman I seemingly drive through a lot of fields!

99% of the time, mine works with just the power cable. Need it powered to get the TMC bit.
