Hi

I've just bought an asian version of the Garmin FR 935. The seller I bought it from listed it as UK stock - I naively thought that would be the UK version (ROW version) but it's the asian version. I guess thinking things through now "uk stock" doesn't really mean anything, just that he has it in stock in his shop!

Everything is good with the watch except its the APAC (asian) version. It was £50 or so cheaper than other sellers so I guess you get what you pay for.

Am I likely to face any issues? I believe that the apac versions don't update at the same time as the ROW versions. Is this really a game changer? How long is the wait likely to be?

Warranty - will Garmin honour the warranty? why wouldn't they? I could have bought it on holiday, came home and found an issue - its still a Garmin, why would there be an issue?

Cheers

R

The fact your asking suggests your not happy/comfortable. In which case best to send it back or it'll always be at the back of your mind.

its not that. its just am I walking into the unknown...

If its going to work fine and update reasonably soon after the rest of the world units that's fine by me.

if the warranty works, thats fine by me also.
