My son would like a gaming headset for his birthday, he is playing COD4 on a PS3.
He has told me of a few, Tritton Ax Pro, Turtle Beach and Astro40 and he wants surround sound.
Firstly I'd like your recommendations and then point me in the right direction to buy some please.

the gf got me some Turtle Beach Ear Force X41 for christmas and i can recomend them think ammazon marketplace was the cheepest i could find them.
I would agree with shreck got the turtle beach wirless ones for Christmas from the wife for COD MW2 and think they are awesome - really pleased although I think they were fairly expensive c. £150 (?) also from amazon

I just got some generic Sennheiser cans but then again I'm ignorant and don't want to talk to the people who I play with or against.
I got a set of Turtle Beach Headset Ear Force P21 they are very good indeed, hate mute for mic and chat on them so you block out screaming 12 year olds when headshot them.
