Found some Debenhams vouchers recently I didn't know I had, so treated myself to a G-Shock as there was nothing else in the shop I was remotely bothered about.
I quite like it.
It's legible, accurate, comfy to wear, light, and it can tell you the tide and moon cycles whilst looking like something Tonka might have made in the 70's.
The alarm's a bit crap and I still feel like a bit of a tool wearing it, but so far so good.
However, despite having tried it on both wrists, inside and outside, my riding is still as crap as ever:
I fell off trying to wheelie the BMX yesterday, despite checking the tides and setting the stop watch before I set off.
I still can't bunnyhop higher than a kerb, tabletops scare me fartless and I couldn't bring the gnarr even with a torch and a map.
I've tried rolling my sleeves up to show off the watch and even had a go at pulling a Doddyface.
Nothing seems to help.
I've looked in the manual, but I can't find out which button makes me a cooler, better rider, with fashionable trousers and more hair.
Please help.

STW thread of the day 🙂
Please help.
I'm not sure if I can help, but I too have a G-shock. This morning I got round Llandegla black in just over an hour on my 100mm hardtail and finally nailed a 3.5m gap jump on said same bike.
This aft I could only manage 20 mins for the 10 miler home from work.
It's not about the watch.
Maybe it's defective. Try testing it by having a Jodrell.

Ok.
Right finished.
I'm still crap, but I've invented a great new game using the countdown timer.
AND I'm banned from Burnley Tesco Express.
