I'd like to get some GU10 downlighters to go in a room that's used as an office. I figured it would be worth getting some full-spectrum ones, to give as proper a nice natural light as possible and potentially/hopefully help to stave off the old winter blues.
All the ones I can find seem to be purple-ish in hue and aimed at people who are, how might one say, 'growing their own exotic tobacco' (and one would assume growing quite a lot of other people's too).
Can anyone point me at some that are for actually lighting a room?
Failing that, is there such a think as an aesthetically-pleasing strip light fitting?
I think you are looking for "Daylight" bulbs rather than "full spectrum".
See, now, I initially thought that, but it seems Daylight bulbs give the right visible light, but you need full-spectrum bulbs to get the non-visible, but potentially SAD relieving, frequencies

Try looking for lamps with the highest CRI rating (colour rendering index)
I think it goes to 100 and the closer you get to that figure the better the overall spectrum of light you’ll get, though most manufacturers aren’t keen on publishing what rating their lamps achieve for obvious reasons
