It's that day again where one casts aside ones usual dietary requirements to gorge on the unhealthy.

I've just been informed that we're nipping out for tapas, early doors. Not your usual continental sort, but a Lancashire take on it. Mini fish and chips, black pudding scotch eggs, fried chicken, that type of thing. I'll be having lots!

What've you got then fellow porkers?

I have just finished a mixed bowl of fresh berries, Greek yoghurt and rolled oats.

Can you tell I am a Southerner?

Can you tell I am from Northern stock?

Its a yellow this time, because you've still got time to rescue this with a strategic pie and chips

Incidentally, I was watching Celebrity Masterchef last night (don't judge me) and I heard the finest sentence I have ever heard grace the English Language...

"follow me to the pie room..."

If only

Because I'm saving the fresh fig chutney for tonight's cheese board.

It is, indeed, grim up north.

Or much cheaper and even fresher at Doncaster market, Tue, Fri and Sat.

Healthy granola for breakfast ahead of a 40 mile road ride for an excellent bacon bap at Carsington reservoir, and back home in time for a corned beef, cheddar and chilli jam toastie.

Tea looks like being a cheesey pasta bake but I may have to go past Stacey's bakery this afternoon......

A couple of bananas for breakfast, nice healthy chicken salad for lunch which I ruined by being drawn in to Greggs for a couple of ring donuts... and home cooked fish & chips for dinner.

Bacon bagel and bacon and egg butty for lunch. My beer fridge is looking dangerously overcrowded so will be making some space for the air to circulate later.

Cheating as two days ago, but this was the best steak pie I've ever had.

I'm still thinking about it on Friday if that qualifies.

Felt I should forgo my nearly traditional Didcot alfresco full English, after letting myself down when we were out yesterday (sausage and onion baguette, so good I had another, much to the irritation of the mrs), so I compromised with a bacon and mushroom stick.

In Bath for a gig and just found a bar that specialises in cider and pizza, two of my favourites! That's me sorted for food and drinks 😀

Mackerel and potatoes, I was feeling quite virtuous til I drowned everything in butter and salt.
