L: the ticking of a clock - wondering if kids + their visiting friend have been abducted in last five minutes as it was as loud as a Disaster Area concert when I got in.

Update: children not kidnapped noise has restarted.

Celebrating my current grade average of 82% on my Brewing and Distilling MSc, which is basically intense biochemistry and chemical engineering. I'm 36 years old, have worked for charities for years and haven't studied any science since high school. Kicking the arse out of it!

*Not really a pie. Just a pastry lid atop of some steak and mushroom but don't tell the lovely Mrs B I said that - she made it. Lovely as it is, it's NOT a pie.

To be fair, I know I'm on borrowed time on this. They'll find me out. Plus, getting up at 5AM every morning to study as well as doing the course and still working has pushed me to the edge of my endurance mentally and physically.
