Half my screen (chrome on a pixel 8) is now taken up by a cookie statement that starts out in French before Google translate does its thing. Just me?

Clean up chrome, as in delete cache/cookies etc. would be the first thing to try.

Then uninstall chrome and use Opera instead!

On an unrelated note, I find teh google translate app is better on phone, also quite a nifty feature is you can take a photo (within the app) of text and it will transate it.. really handy for translating lables and instructions on products etc.

I had this, refreshed the page and got it in German instead.

It's all part of the fun around here 😁
