Surely there is only one satellite for everyone wherever you are in the country!?

Yes, would affect everyone including Sky as the free channels are the same satellite feed.

Check cable, check dish. Does the box have a signal strength page?

Is it really pissing it down at the moment? Dense enough clouds and rain can block the signal.

Tree or building in line of sight of the satellite (direction dish is pointing)?

Not in Cheshire, but our Freesat box reporting weak or no signal today. Was fine when I switched off last night.

Done all the usual checks but can't see anything obviously wrong. Have resorted to calling someone out to properly check dish alignment, etc.

One of mine is having the same problem at the moment

I have 2 fed from a single dish - the older one is working, newer one isn’t. Software is up to date. Most strange

Speculative but GPS jamming trials are taking place in the north of England until the 19th October.  High pressure may be compounding this.

GPS signal is around 1GHz, Satellite TV is around 10GHz - there is very, very little chance of interference between the two.

Something weird is going on with Freesat HD,  we could get most channels but a few were showing as 'no signal', including CBeebies (nightmare!)

Tuesday night the old SKY box reported "a technical fault on this channel" for all channels. The HUMAX box was fine. Last night we couldn't get BBC2 HD on the HUMAX but BBC 2 non-HD was fine. We're in Brittany so reception is less than optimal.

I had to rescan for channels last night to get the picture back, the signal reading was good/excellent but the screen displayed no signal being received. Got it back just in time for Grand Designs - Twin Hipster Douchebag episode.

There was a power cut in Dunblane yesterday around mid afternoon and then we had one at work around 5pm in Edinburgh... is it the EU power being cut off to those places that voted remain??

A transponder dropped off (not in the fell to earth sence) this week so they may have swapped the channels to a different one on the Sat.

Retune and it should be good.
