I have a 500gb Toshiba hard drive and have used the backup software that seems to appear with Windows XP.
However, I had in mind that running a back up of my laptop would only save the new stuff. However, it seems to do everything so taking ages.
Is there any good software to download, or should I plump for something like Nero?

The [url= http://www.crashplan.com/ ]Crashplan[/url] software is actually pretty good for local backups - it'll also do backups to friends' computers or their cloud backup, but works fine to an external hard disk too.
