The chap out of FoW has apparently died of Corona. In memoriam, us all take the time to listen to the work of genius that is Stacy's Mom

First one of these famous singer death threads where it's a band I really like. Gutted.

I think I'll have another glass of Mexican wine.

Oh man - I loved that album so much. Stacey’s Mom is the song most people will know him for, but he really was one of geek rock’s top songwriters. Only 52. 😢

OH NO!! I bloody love the Fountains of Wayne. Welcome Interstate Managers is an absolutely superb album. I saw them live on that tour. They were absolutely brilliant!

Me and Mrs Binners were only loudly singing this the other day as we both love it, because its bloody lovely

And this is aparticularly apt one for couples who are seperated at the moment

He was a genius songwriter. RIP

@bustaspoke Everyone likes that tune.

Don't think I'd ever seen the video; when I posted that above I thought "is that really Rachel Hunter?…"

binbins, Hey Julie is such a great song.

I got into my car one shitty wet October morning, played Bright Future in Sales about twenty times during the journey from Bristol to Stoke, walked into the office, typed my resignation letter and put it on my boss’s desk. Then walked out and drove home. I had no other job to go to at the time. 😂

I've just looked back on their discography and realised I listened to loads of their songs from the late 90s. Really sad.
