just bought a cx bike.... good lord... I thought it was for bimbling around the country lanes... 🙂

when i were a lad.. we ran up that our hill with the bike digging in yer shoulder and your toe clips rubbing the small of your back. tubs, 14spd, centre pull cantis and a banana in the back pocket..
and we got stuffed most years by blokes who normally ran up hills in small flappy shorts..
my fav race was always the bikes vs harriers nr bingly with prize giving in the pub by the canal.. 89 i think was the last time i rode there..
