deserve a beer.

Anyone else tried the Aldi coffee porter? Had a couple today, and they were very tasty! Almost could be a pudding replacement.

You're putting pudding before beer?

No pudding for you.

Porter goes very well with the right pudding. Chocolate based ideally.

If I had to give up one it would be beer that went.

Rational view...

Both taste fab (subject to individual beverage/pudding selection)

Both are available in a massive diversity of flavours and styles

Both make you fat if consumed to excess

One gives you liver trouble if you overdo it
The other gives you diabetes
Call that a draw

Beer gives you hangovers .... I love beer, I hate hangovers. Pudding does not give hangovers.

QED pudding is better than beer but not by much

Personally I'd give up pudding and beer so long as I could have coffee.

Fortunately no-ones made me decide so I still have all three.

Isn't life XXXXing grand.

What you need, then is Espresso Martini.

Or my latest discovery - White Russians made with vanilla vodka and single cream.

Haven't tried that one yet, but the Red rye IPA is pretty good.

The problem with porter(s) is they don't taste the way they look they should.

Sauternes is the only drink that could possibly replace pudding.

@Johndoh - I won a competition with my 'white russian' that used vanilla and pepper infused cream and golden rum. I'm not one to boast but it was spectacular

That'd be a White Cuban then wouldn't it?

I discovered them in Spain. The taxi driver discovered on his back seat later.

😳

Aren't they made with Malibu?

Mine was with Mount Gay (Black Barrel).

The best porter on the planet is from Wales. If you didn't know, now you do!

May have to try the Tiny Rebel porter. Had a beer from the same brewery recently in my Beerbods case and rated that.

@ mrwhyte - Tiny Rebel's ales are all nice, Stay Puft exceptional.

Don't know what it is about porters, as I don't usually like fruit flavoured beers! but with porters I'm the complete opposite. I love the fruit flavoured and sweet ones as opposed to the default smoked and coffee flavoured.

Titanic Plum Porter is gorgeous and there’s a cherry one (can't remember which brewery) that’s deep and lush.
