Managed to harvest a couple of bags worth tonight and fancy a dabble at making some gritty, seeded jam.
Anyone have any tips or preferred recipes or techniques?

For every kilo of blackberries add 1.3kg of sugar. Boil for a couple of hours, or until a spoonfull put onto a cold plate goes all wrinkly when pushed with a finger.

I never strain the jam - the bits are great!

With the jars, clean then put into an oven for 20 seconds or so.

Good luck with it all! We made 3kg of jam, my daughter sold the lot from a yard sale, and we now have people coming back asking if we've any left...

You need:

Blackberrys
Sugar
Pan
Jar
Heat

Try ratio of 1:1kg and you'll not be far off. Might be a bit sour, if so add honey.

Don't boil the fek out it, leave it so there is fruit still in there and not mush.

Don't fergawdssake stick your finger in the liquid as it's simmering.. ๐Ÿ˜•
