Hi,
I am after some more info on the "enduro" loop I have seen on this map,

Fod Map

Is it open? (or something that is planned in the future?)
If it is open is it sign posted or easy to follow?

Just can't find much more info on it.
Thanks.

All those tracks shown as a dashed line are open. The southern ones at least are signposted too. They have had a huge amount of traffic and are pretty natural trails so have suffered from erosion. Still fun to ride in parts but there are much better trails within a mile of there, though af course they are not signed and will involve a bit of leg work to find them

Thanks, yeah I now there are better off piste trails, but like you said involve some leg work, or riding with someone with local knowledge.
Thinking of give the "Enduro" loop ago instead of doing both loops, something new so to speak.

Bear in mind that the bulk of the dashed line "Enduro" trail shown on that map is just cross country riding on unmarked trails. The dashed lines only show 4 downhill tracks used as stages on the mini enduro that is often held there. The first starts near to and crosses above the start of Red trail 1 (launch pad) finishing near the bottom of the push up track. The other 3 trails are at the south of the map and all start from Howlers hill. One runs back down the ridge towards the car park. the other 2 start together and then split. AFAIK these are the only ones with signposts. Look our for Y2K on the way posts. There are a load of other possibilities on that part of the hill, not shown on the map. Basically, if it looks like a trail, it will be. Just ride it to the bottom and push up for another one.

EDIT. And if you have enough of that, follow the fire road that crosses the B-road near the "Mine" labelled on the bottom of that map. Go along that fireroad for about 1/2 a mile. In that stretch you will pass the ends of 1/2 a dozen tidy DH runs on your right. Just explore. Push up the runs or ask people around there. You won't be alone I guarantee.

The stuff to the north will be a bit weather dependent, i'd just stick to the south of the map enduro line, basically you start on the blue out of pedalbikeaway, get up to the skills park and head left instead of right and follow until you get to the nasty ride up / push up path, get to the top and turn left then right and you'll head towards the start of Y2K and Elephant Man (the opening is just before the wood piles), they're decent, there's a bit of playing in the woods opposite the opening to the start of Y2K, loads to hunt around for though.

The above is where i tend to head over too at weekends as it gets manic up at the normal runs, there's even more across the road in terms of 'off-piste' but that is a bit iffy in areas!

You can go through the woods as above and work your way back to the top of the sallowvallets runs, or the blue downhill bit, have a hunt around and play, always good for a hunt around up there.
