I seem to have a corner of felt missing on my flat roof. What's best way to patch this up to save the wood?

If this can be done with minimal dangling out the dormer window then that would be good. Don't really fancy £300 on scaffolding but also don't fancy falling to my death.

2nd picture would be more effective if rotated 90 deg clockwise

With my amateur bodger hat on, I'd try some pitch and a small felt patch nailed on.

If you really want to patch it then I'd stick some of this sort of thing in the gap - https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-roof-gutter-sealant-black-310ml/67521

I had this on a dormer.

I found a patch was great, but 6 months later the other corner failed. Then the back. Then a different part. I think the UV and weather had taken it's toll on it all. I ended up on the roof a few times and spending a good few hours and pounds to little avail.

I would have been better biting the bullet and getting a new roof on the thing straight off.

Lift it existing felt if possible. apply ‘trowel on’ bitumen and new patch.

Make good.

Aside from the corner, it does seem to be missing several essential features, such as the 25mm overhang past the timber, and a gutter.
