I want a new down jacket to replace my Mountain Whorehouse one that has fairly very well for 4 years. Rab look great but 180 quid is 180 quid.
Montaine and Fern are two other possibilities - but both say XXL is size 44+ chest. Im 47 inch chest and their sizing seems very small for a std XXL.
Are their sizing chart true to fit?
I've got quite a few Fjern jackets & find their sizing pretty spot on I'm a 40" chest & 32" waist and all mine are a medium.
I have a large and I'd say it was a slimmer cut, which suits me fine as I'm not wearing chunky knit jumpers under it 😉

Yeah sizing seems pretty accurate. I have one of the crazy husly ones for after swimming got a large so i could fit layers under and it is ideal
