What is the deal with these backpacks? Why so expensive?

tried a coat on last week. pretty flimsy material for mega bucks.
but I know they work.

Bought my sister one of these for her birthday earlier this year. £47! For a backpack with thin nylon webbing straps that will cut your shoulders to ribbons if you put anything heavier than a sandwich in it.

That's fashion for you.

I grew up with them. Like every kid in Sweden. Don't see the appeal now as they arent that good. More fashion now perhaps?

Fjall Raven is still popular on the terraces with the Casual types but I've no idea how good the backpacks are. I got a Napapjiri skidoo jacket in Tk Maxx for £100 instead of £300 , Now thats a jacket and a half. Though It does need to be about -20 to get the best of It.
