The wires on the battery charger for my troutie liberator have frayed and come off. I need to solder them back on. Does it matter which way I do this and if so how do I find the correct way around to solder them?

The current must go into the charger either way as the 2 pin adaptor could be fitted either way.

I'd start another thread with Troutie in the title, or email the chap.

Depends which end. On the mains side it will make no difference if it is double insulated (square inside a square symbol) with no earth. On the output side it will cause untold damage if you get them the wrong way round

Thats what I thought. How do you find out which is the right way? I sent an email to smudge as I think he may have supplied the batteries and stuff but no reply yet.
