As above, has anyone got any experience of getting a Fit to Fly PCR test? I'm flying to China (work related) at the end of June and we'll need a Covid test result within 48 hours of flying. Quick Google shows there's a bit of a racket for this kind of thing so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to whether there's a particular service/vendor to use.

We're flying from Heathrow on a Monday morning but the results take about 3-4 hours so I'm guessing I'll have to get to the airport mega early to get it done. I'd rather get it done beforehand.

Cheers

Is your work not arranging all this for you?ย  Or are you self employed?

No, we have to do it ourselves. Not self-employed either. We don't pay for it (use company credit card) but have to sort it out.

They were very little help when applying for a visa other than providing a slightly discounted rate through CIBT Visas.

doesn't answer your question, but at the height of things a couple of years ago I needed a PCR test kit to get into Belgium; paid for courier delivery etc but kit had a bit missing. I contacted the test company and they said just e-mail them an image of a negative test result and they'd fill in the paperwork for me!

Doctap, Randox and apparently Lloyds all do it. It's a bit nerve-wracking because what if they lose it argaghg??? But they didn't with me so...
