Does anyone really ask for a shaken vodka martini? Martini should surely always be stirred.
Vodkatini shaken or stirred shure-ley depends upon whether the vodka was frozen in the first place (or whether you're in character as JB).
In reality the vodka should be frozen and of good quality, the vodkatini stirred.
The really important question is "how dry is your Vodkatini?"
English Summer - equal portions of dry vermouth & vodka
(Al Murray only approves of this for the ladies)
Wet - 1 shot of vermouth to 2 of vodka
Dry - 1/2 shot of vermouth to 2 of vodka
Arid - pour 1/2 shot of very dry vermouth in the glass, swirl it round and tip out, top up the glass with vodka
Atacama - wave the bottle of vermouth at the glass, fill with vodka.
The use of a green olive is compulsory for all except English Summer where a maraschino cherry can be used.
