Is it just me, or is Firefox crashing with greater frequency than Pastor Maldonado?

It's what I was hoping this thread would be about.

That one took a minute, very good.
I read a lot of Jack as a boy.

"You have to think in Russian"

🙂

On a more related to O.P. note, past couple of months with Firefox I have been unable to log on to do HSBC internet banking.
It's a known issue with Windows 7 apparently, not recently checked for updates. Windows works fine.

Jack?

That would be Craig Thomas, son of the late lamented JBG, a great rugby writer of my father's youth.

I understood that he wrote under the name Jack too, my mistake obvs.

I know the browser thing is a bit tribal/subjective but I've found Opera the most consistent browser, it just works.

Used to be super user configurable, although some of it's hidden abilities have been dumbed down in recent years shame.

Firefox is usually the most stable for me, with all the browsers I usually find it's the Add-Ons, Java, or the bloated horror of Adobe Flash that causes most problems.

Running NoScript stops lots of issues, occasionally a site won't work, but then it's normally some click bait site full of links that apparently I won't believe what happened next.

Firefox Down would be more appropriate for this thread.

Firefox Down - even more appropriate for this thread.

That would still make quite a good old school espionage / cold war film imo.

On topic just installed Firefox and it's been a little hit and miss.

Been fine for me for the last month or so, latest thing is it crashes every time you try to zoom in!

The occasional sudden loss of pinned tabs on opening up really pisses me off.

That'll be about 20 crashes this evening, clearly something else at play here.

I'd be malwarebytesing and checking my antivirus too
After that I'd drop any extensions one by one & see if things improve
(at the risk of ruining everything, my firefox is stable - W10)

... or have a look in task manager and see how much RAM it's using - and consider a RAM test (I have no idea if these are useful of bollocks)

or,...

there is that one extension you could try. Just briefly. You know, in the interests of stability...

Interestingly Malwarebytes is having problems running.
I can't disable the extensions, I'll be inundated with all sorts of marketing shite.
