It was working fine last night, I have never had an issue with it, and I haven't done anything with it (ie, change settings etc) but I just switched on the TV so my wife could watch Wimbledon in the background – all was fine when I switched it on and navigated to BBC1 on iPlayer and selected BBC1. I then tried to adjust the volume and the TV went blank. I have tried several more times and the same happens each time – a small 'pause' button appears briefly and the screen goes blank. It does the same if I select volume up or down or just press the mute button on the TV remote (ie, not the Fire Stick remote). Any ideas?
Try a reset.

Also check your power supply and USB cable.
Mine did that. If changing the batteries in the remote doesn’t fix it then it will need replacing. It’s sending corrupt data on the HDMI CEC channel.

Firestick. Great when it works. Reset when it doesn’t. Syncing on Apple TV app is very hit and miss.
