Not that I'm feeling peckish already, or owt, but.....

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. And then on to the pub for a few ales afterwards, I reckon. What unhealthy culinary detritus does lunchtime hold then? ๐Ÿ˜€

Our 'health and well-being' (or something similar) committee at work, recently devised a monthly lunch for employees to get everyone together and socialise with people in different departments etc.

Today they are putting on a hog roast at a local pub for us!! Woooo! Can't wait!!

Great minds Binners, great minds!

Had a Sausage McMuffin this morning. Wish I hadn't, feel terrible! Coffee wasn't bad though.

Sadly healthy five bean chilli that I made last night is for dinner and no beer in the house!!

The international market is on the street outside my work this weekend.
That throws quite a major dilemma my way this lunch time.
There is the classic belly buster - A bagette with hog roast, apple sauce and gravy, or
German hot dogs, or
Polish hot dogs, or
Thai Noodles

Then for desert you have even harder decisions
mini Dutch pancakes with Nutella, or
crepes with any number of fillings including marshmallows, or
Cupcakes - the most ridiculous selection of the little suckers you could imagine.

Binners I think you are the only qualified person to help me decide.

Great minds indeed Tom. Presently facing exactly the same dilemma. Is there such a thing as too many on a Friday? Onion gravy too for dipping?

You have no place or business here.

I'm not sure there is Binners, I think the most I've asked for is 8, to go with the 2 that came in the wicked zinger box. Given the hunger level already, and that I wont be able to get to KFC till gone 2, this may be surpassed today.

Can't blummin wait!

Second lunch was a steak bake, spicy pizza slice and a Belgian bun.*

Feeling a little bloated now.

*Greggs new Belgian Bun recipe is indeed lighter and fruitier than the old one, btw

Peanut butter sarnie for breakfast, this thread prompted a quick (overcooked) bacon and egg sarnie from a sandwich van, couple of tesco's BBQ sausage rolls as I was shopping (bit like crack to me) and got some pork belly and chorizo for dinner... so much for dealing with the size of my tummy today.

I had a sausage, egg and brown sauce special from a local cafe. The special appears to mean no egg or brown sauce. I am disappoint.

Lunchtime was a 'mega burger' from the van down the road from work.

Four of us normal people (aka blokes) carried out our threat and dined in the car park of a local nature reserve. Complete with folding table and four camping chairs.

The idea was to get away from all the nosey bastards in our work canteen "ooh what have you got there, can I have a chip" etc. Also to get away from the hormonally-challenged (aka female) people in our office and talk sense for an hour.

It was a resounding success.

Fear not Binners, as noble a death by hot wings would be, I caved at around one and had a crunchie and some crisps so by the time I got to KFC, I wasn't quite so hungry and only had a zinger tower meal, with a 6 wing chaser ๐Ÿ™‚

Good effort sir! I went for the four, and almost immediately knew I'd sold myself short by two. And I'd also gone for an earlier crisp appetiser ๐Ÿ˜€

Bit of a hi-jack but a couple of years ago I was listening to the Food Programme on R4 and an interviewee was talking about scientists researching beans that did not produce flatulence.
The interviewer's response was, 'does that now mean I can eat a five-bean curry and then lay a carpet with confidence.'
.....made me laugh anyway

On the subject of gluttony, the mrs was away last night so I necked a few, smoked a few and then bought our favourite Chinese takeaway and ate the lot. Now feeling vaguely embarrassed about the giveaway detritus in the bin.

*Boke* , I don't think the post should be billed as being unhealthy food, it should be billed as putting something ungodly in your mouth that's going to make you sick and warp your dna and/or give you cancer.

Unhealthy food I can do quite happily, but fast food franchises, no sir. I'm a human, not an animal.
