What has been a favourite thread of yours on this forum (that had a comedic/interesting element), and in particular what individual post?

For example a recent one that made me, at times roar with laughter was posted by ton/bombadillo here -
http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/sometimes-is-violence-the-only-answeron-a-commute

A response within that thread that amused me no-end was this by barnsleymitch.

Oh go on then...
There were at least three of them, all armed with poison tipped spears, so I went for the leader, a mountain of a man with a shock of flaming red hair. I took him out with a right uppercut to the larger of his two testicles, but then had to stop because i was becoming aroused by all the BLOODY FANTASISING going on.

Keep it light-hearted, I’m not looking to open old wounds/arguments etc.

All the best.

Someone posting the other day saying they had a face like a smashed crab has me laughing whenever I think about it.

Badger thread.
Picolax was a bit laboured, just playing to an audience.
Badger's ire was awesome, as were the accompanying pictures.

Enjoyed "That Weird Light.." a couple of weeks ago - esp. the veering off topic & sporadic attempts to bring it back on again. Plus I just noticed the hidden sport of adding to thread tags... 😈

Agreed on the Hitler thread though, it gets better & better as you become more acclimatised to the forum.

The picolax thread was too contrived...trying way to hard to be funny.

The Badger thread was ace though.

I'm fairly sure the Badger thread has been lost in the mists of time, the Picolax thread was extracted from the smoldering remains of the hacked site and is linked to somewhere on here.

Back in the dim and distant past there were some good threads by the infamous LukeB, including one where a (female) classmate of his found the forum and started posting as well..

The Badger/tubeless tyres thread was ace - threats of him suing various forum posters for defamation before finally accepting his fate and being able to laugh about it.

The thread exposing a certain (long gone) forum poster as a general creepy weirdo was quite good in a car-crash TV kind of way.

And in totally the opposite direction, I think a mention of the petesgaff/cancer thread is due just to show that, behind all the insults, trolling and childishness that sometimes comes across on here, there is a real community of genuine caring people.

A ginger chap, I think? Was also on Bikemagic at the same time. Funny, yet also scary.

Badger thread, but for all time baiting. Emily Green and 42 on Bikemagic and here took some beating, in fact I think the originator got a a prize from Mike Davies for "Services to Trolling".

the best post on this forum was the poor bloke that took a picture of himself sat on his bike with a new top he bought.

the title of the post was something like

"does this new top make me look fat"

he was being serious and everyone ripped him apart, all in good taste obviously!!

i felt sorry for him but in the end he saw the funny side.

the "female forum member gets sent dodgy pics of male forum member then posts said pics" thread was a classic, although for obvious reasons didn't last long!!

bumley posted a picture of her in a bikini at my request, that was GREAT! 🙂 (pre hack though 🙁 )

aslo the thread that included the genius post about rally cars rolling and penguins flying out on fire was good, dunno what it was about though.

For me the Picolax thread was informative! Had to go through it myself, not pleasant!

The one where somebody had organised a ride then spat the dummy put when sfb was going!

+1 for captain picolax.
All the female members of my family are in 'the caring professions' (yeah, right!!) and they were pi$$ing themselves reading it. 🙂

Another honourable mention for Petesgaff/Mark's thread - it's so heartwarming to see how such an argumentative bunch (I am sure you don't mind me saying that) can all pull together for a common cause when it's needed. Amazing... Pat yourselves on the back again everyone!!

Picolax was funny for the first couple of installments then got too laboured, as already pointed out.

Has the badger thread disapeared? Never saw that.

Was the rally cars / ostriches / penguins on fire about Lee Wossisname not coming up with goods?
