I am trying to keep FB to a minimum, its great for close friends and family. Even so I still had 140 friends when I checked a month ago.
So I had a little purge, just close friends and family.
Now a couple of the purged have messaged me directly, ie not through the "other" inbox. How can I disable this?
I have all the other settings bolted down, eg non-friends can only message via the "other"inbox and only friends can see my posts.

WhatsApp is the answer.

There's a "who can send me messages" option which you can set to friends only
