Reckon Lewis will put it on P1 and then work his way back up to the front tomorrow.

Mercs 2 and 3?

Vettel hahahahahaaaaaaa.

I reckon Hammy will struggle to get P1 today though. Button is struggling too.

Watching it with my 4 year old, his blanket and several Mr Men toys. So I'm not seeing that much.

We both like Georgie in her red dress.

I guess that it gives Nico an answer finally when people ask what he's actually ever done in F1

It's set up for a good race though. Hamilton and Vettel charging through the field, decent cars behind the Mercs. I'd love to see kimi have a good race too.

Kamui is tiny!

Sauber really deserve some decent sponsorship

The race is 8am UK time. The show is 0630 on Sky or 0700 on BBC.

I'm looking forward to it, great potential to be the most exciting race for a while

ah right, my mistake - it's a pain trying to actually work out when it starts when you're in a different time zone. surprisingly complicated!

Schmi to lead after lap 1. Hamilton for the win.

There's no way that the Mercs will stay ahead. Whatever peoples opinion of him is I honestly think this is Hamiltons race.

I can't wait to see what Kimi and Kamui can do to entertain

The start could well be carnage with so many fast starters hurried in the pack. Schumacher will take full advantage of being on the clean side too. Plus Alonso will be belting up through.

Haven't watched F1 for years as it got so dull.. 8 laps in I see nothing's changed.....

this is pretty atypical for races in the last couple of seasons so far. There were over 70 overtakes in this race in 2011...

From the start I would have said Button is in with a good chance, but the mercs aren't falling back as predicted, plus Kimi is keeping up with him well, should be an interesting one.

Clubber,

So sad that 70 overtakes in a races is a significant stat! Thats just over one per lap. Wow. 😕

I was brought up on a diet of F1,2, 3 Formula Ford, sports cars and saloon car racing and F1 could learn a lot from those old series.

The FIA have neutered F1. Off to take the dog for a walk, far more exciting! 😕

It all seems to be on at a very civilised time over he in Oz. Unfortunately it's looking like a pretty sterile race so far, Kimi could be the surprise here.....

some people like lots of easy overtaking, others prefer it to be a bit harder and worthwhile 😉

Maybe you should go and watch one of the various us racing series...

I love these positive contributions to f1 threads. Why? I mean really why bother? On other thread topics you find boring, do you go in and say 'this is boring, blah blah blah' . No?

I find picking up dog shite probably as uninspiring as you find f1 these days, but each to their own. I remember the glory days of picking up dog shite back in the 80s, when as you crawled about in a piss soaked hedge between the cans and carrier bags there was at least a 50% chance of finding a copy of razzle. Happy days.

😉

Why bother? Because I sacrificed a ride to watch it. I actually was excited and now so disappointed.

It's a free country. Off to go and pick up warm dog sh1te 🙂

Not boring at all! I had it on in the background while doing some stuff around the house, then had to sit down to watch it properly.

At least it picked up then.

Higthepig, did I dare to upset you by stating facts; that the 17 laps were devoid of action? Bless!

Have some tissues on me!

Managed to avoid the result on the radio all day and watched the Sky highlights show, which condensed it into a very interesting race.

Watched on iplayer after a great days riding

Great race with a proper hectic section when everyone was fighting for 2nd place

I promised not to watch F1 this year after the whole Sky thing, but if i can go cycling on the Sunday, avoid any chances of hearing the result, then go home and watch it online, then i might just continue to follow F1

Well done Nico 😀
