Sadly I can’t see a sensible place for Ricciardo next season.

Indycars, Nascar, Aussie taxicab racing, private beach somewhere warm...

Yeah I think Ricciardo is out unfortunately, unless he pops up at Williams. He's ruled it out himself, but we've seen stranger things happen!

If Alpine release Piastri on Monday when they have the sit down meeting with him McLaren should be considering dropping Ricciardo with immediate effect and put him straight in the car. He couldn't do a worse job.

Depends on their finances. I’d assume Ralf is bringing some funding with him, but I doubt Ricciardo would. Gene Haas is always after $$$

I imagine Mick brings cheap Ferrari engines with him being part of the Ferrari driver academy, which is due to end this year.

I'm excited for tomorrow. For the first time this season Hamilton has a genuine- albeit small- chance of a win. He's starting on the second row, and may well have the fastest car when it comes to race pace. Overtaking in Zandvoort is hard tho!

Dunno, he was in with a sniff at Silverstone. But yes, it looks like we might, just might, be in for some fun tomorrow—but on a track like that it’ll be down to strategy (got my popcorn ready for Ferrari’s weekly humdinger) or fireworks…

So, if you were Haas, would you boot Schumacher and replace him with Ricciardo after that?

Bit of a Mick fan here, I hope that he finds a seat next year. Ricciardo deserves better than a Williams or a Haas, the only other potential seat is the Alpha Tauri assuming Gasly vacates. After eight years and as many race wins (seven of which were with Red Bull), going back to what was Toro Rosso would really suck.

Not based on this weekend so far - out qualified by 1 Williams and 2 Haas cars. Then there’s the gulf to his teammate.

You could say his head isn’t in the right place. But then the same would also be true for Mick who also needs to secure a seat

Or is Lando just ridiculously good? I guess he matched up much more evenly with Sainz

Lando is very good, but it doesn’t look like an 18th place on the grid car

We’ve just got to hope the Merc is a faster car now. 22 laps is enough to do it.

Well there's a surprise, a bunch of stinky goings on handing the race to Max Verstappen

It looks now more like the question is, why didn't they pit Lewis onto softs.

Whatever the result it’s been another cracking race.

Anyway Piastri in for Monza!? Ricciardo has done nothing all race, seems like he’s mentally clocked out of F1.

Well Mercedes just converted a 1-3 to a 2-4. Hope they're pleased with that

A win was only on the cards without any safety cars. As soon as we got the first one of those it was over as the gap was closed and the option of doing a one stop went out of the window.

They threw away a 2-3 though.

Even with Russell on softs at the end Max was so much faster.

Good to see three future world champions on the podium. Great race for the strategists. What happened to Sainz???

What happened to Sainz???

He drives for Ferrari. They couldn't find one of his wheels for the pitstop.

I disagree, Zandvoort is a hard track to overtake on so track position is king- if they had left Verstappen in P3 behind Russell and Hamilton for those last few laps then it would have given Hamilton time to get up to speed while Verstappen tried to get past Russell. All a bit of a mess tbh

it does show again Russell making decent calls for tyres and going for the win. He deserved the podium place
