That has no TV out socket apart from HDMI..?

Sorry for the IT spam tonight 🙂

I'm thinking a second graphics card that works via USB2 or the PC card slot might be better than some scanning converter thing.

RGB > SVideo / composite?

An external graphics 'card' might be better, but I'll wager it'll be a lot more expensive.

TV has SCART so I assume that's RGB, but it needs to do some messing about with scanning I think.

Sorry, braino, I meant VGA > Svideo / composite. I'm assuming the laptop has a VGA out.

You can get component or composite cables too.

I saw those but I read that for it to work your VGA port has to also have the composite signals on unused pins. And apparently very few laptops do.

Hm, interesting. I've not come across that, TBH.

Vga to scart converter. Whatever you use, it will look slightly blurry on most old tvs , so no point messing around with expensive graphics cards.
