I need an internal sata drive for a PC build but prices have just tripled over the last couple of weeks.
Apparently half the worlds hard drives are made in Thailand and the floods there are causing major supply issues which could go on for months.

Good luck hacking the outer case to bits though. Took me bloody ages.
Was hoping I could just unscrew it to be honest. Is it really that difficult to get in?
Also once I'm in can I just unplug the drive from whatever interface it uses to go from sata to usb
It shouldn't be that hard to open, and once the drive is out simply fit it into a spare bay in the PC and connect up the power and data cables.
