Anyone know how much it will cost to replace the screen?

Quite a lot, I should imagine.

Plus Apple tax.

Best to see a 'genius' at your nearest shiny Apple store.

...but it ain't going to be cheap. To the point where, depending on your excess, home insurance might be a better route.

Try you local apple repair stores assuming its out of warranty?

They are, sadly, deliberately designed to be hard to upgrade and repair.

It'll cost a fortune! I smashed the screen on my 17" Macbook Pro. That'll be £950 please sir. 😯

And that was a few years back

I expect expensive...I don't know where you live or anything, but I'm throwing this idea in (I suspect its too old and screen not as good etc but I'm sure you would rather I said).

I know you can do it with windows laptops, maybe if you find a suitable 'spares and repairs' MAC or mine (I'd look up online specs if it suitable, maybe you can get a technie to replace screen on yours.

We know the one above is worth sub £50 as a whole item, maybe even less

As above, I think it's a claim on the household insurance, possibly for a whole new computer.

Perhaps it's time to turn it into a desktop with a screen or hook it up to your tv and use it as a media streaming device.
