I fancy going somewhere different this year. Flights to most places look fairly pricey but the Eurotunnel is cheap.

Has anyone spent NYE in Belgium before? Ypres and Ghent are lovely places but I don't know if they celebrate like we do.

Any other ideas?

(I grew up in St Ives, so that is out, and I don't really fancy Edinburgh tbh).

And yes - 'exotic' was said tongue in cheek.

We are going to a cottage in Cornwall.  It has a hot tub which I consider to be exotic!

Ooh that sounds nice. Do you head to the Algarve or up to Porto or Lisbon?

Amsterdam! You like rows of lit firecrackers thrown at your feet, yeah?

Madeira?  Fireworks are better than Sydney IMHO and you can get some good riding in as well.

Belgium if you like it "rowdy".
They do like to let their hair down.

Prague if you want it wild. I was there for the millennium, extra flew over from Taiwan, and it was an amazing night.
