Hello,

I'm looking to do a quick daily workout of about 5 minutes at 170bpm in my apartment without annoying the neighbours. I guess a cross trainer wouldn't make me too popular. Any ideas?!

Thanks!

Good indoor exercise equipment (not cardio) include the PowerBar pull-up bar, with optional assistance straps and suspension straps :

http://www.v-tapershaper.com/barsaccessories.html

and

http://www.v-tapershaper.com/flexstraps/powerflexbodyweightgym.html

and the Perfect Pushup handles are pretty excellent :

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Perfect-Fitness-V2-Pushup-Handles/dp/B008XY49UM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390131929&sr=8-1&keywords=perfect+push-up+v2

for a 5 minute workout I think the perfect pushups would be good as it will take approx that to get through the 3 sets of pushups (wide, normal, narrow) x 2 reps with about 40 seconds between each set.

Get a priest. Any denomination will do. Make sure he brings: -

A). A bible
B). Crucifix
C). Holy water

He will need to say a few prayers, hold up his crucifix and spray a bit of the water about. That should sort it for good.

Quick question though is it a mild problem - like stuff being shoved of shelves or a proper full on blood running down the walls situation? If the latter you may also need a stain blocking paint as it will keep the blood from showing through when you redecorate.

I think the BPM refers to heart rate, not wrist rate.

I'd also recommend warming up from about 60-80bpm, spending a time at about 125bpm and then only hitting 170-180 for a few seconds at the end of the workout. I wouldn't want you to pull anything untoward.

And of course, if you feel anything tearing in the course of the workout, stop immediately and consult an expert.

Simple & sinister kettlebell workout by pavel. Available on kindle ideal workout for flats.

I left the gym and bought some kettlebells and I have really enjoyed training with them. The above might be what you are looking for as the whole workout is about 20 mins every day.

Dropping a kettlebell in your apartment might be an issue, especially if you are not on the ground floor...
