Just pressed Save rather then Save As over an old Excel sheet I didn't want to lose.

How can I restore it to the pre save data please?

Latest version of excel has an option for this just type recover file or recently saved files into help and it well walk you through. Only works in certain situations but that's your best bet I would think.

If you are using win8 you might be lucky enough to have file history tuned on and do it that way. In vista/7 try right clicking on the file and see if restore previous version is available

I'm assuming same file name? (insensitive plug for version control).

Are you working on a network?
