I'm trying to add a formula into a spreadsheet in excel and it's got my head battered.
I want to calculate the following
Cell 1 = 150 as a quantity
Cell two is an amount = £650
Cell three would be the multiplication of the two = £97500
Cell four would be the calculation of £8% of that amount above
Cell 5 would then be 0.45 (9%) of that amount above
example being, we manage 150 properties at £650 a month at 8% plus VAT per month. We get to keep 9% of the VAT amount.
a1 absolute value
b1 absolute value
c1 =a1*b1
d1 =c1*0.08
e1 =d1*0.45
Or have I totally misunderstood the question?
thanks Cougar, I typed it out wrong and missed a cell but your explanation has put me back on track!
Thanks for the help
