I think the instructions are aimed at the experienced home atomic scientist, eg you know that if you store all your reactor material together, all the little protoniums and neuters can leak out very quickly, so it's best to keep them in a leakproof container. I'm going to get a 44 gallon drum to keep mine in.
It's just like any DIY job, sometimes you have to bodge a little when the instructions aren't clear.
After all, what could go wrong? 🙂

Och, you're scare mongering. Take a look at its safe operating time from when it opened.
It ran for 75,686,400 seconds, and for only 4 of those seconds was it explosive, so it was only 0.00000000053% dangerous.
Should be one in every home... 🙂
