Can anyone recomment some places in Aviemore (apart from La Taverna) that might be able to cater for a largish group at short notice? It's 11 senior school pupils and 2 teachers. Just looking to narrow options down before calling round.

Thanks!

Balavoulin has a lot of tables, takes bookings and food is pretty decent

Cairngorm Hotel doesn't normally take bookings but would probably set aside a bit for you for that size of group.

Penny Bun at Badaguish for something out of the way.

Charcoal has an eclectic range of food options.

It doesn't seem quite so busy this week so you should be in luck at one of these.

Skiing do is always an option, as is the winking owl or Macdui's. Quite difficult to get tables for big groups at short notice in Aviemore. Normally end up just having to wait in the Cairngorm if there at short notice.

Second shout for Penny Bun at Badaguish. We ate there Friday last week as a group of 15. It was good.

When are you going to be there Spin?

We might need to coordinate as we're visiting as a biggish group at the weekend and will be looking for an evening meal : )

Oh and definitely check ahead with the Skiing Doo, when we were there they were only doing a very limited menu...

FTFY. It's being going downhill (no pun intended) for years. I'm hoping it'll pickup when the current owner manages to sell it.
