Bit specific, I know, but does anyone know of any restaurants serving Dim Sum into the evening?

Looking to fulfill a b'day meal request that has to take place in the evening.

Happy to take any other genuinely excellent recommendations for delicious reasonably priced food in Brighton!
(I never really trust recommendations so make it a good'un please!)

Gars if you want a more modern take on Chinese food in a nice setting and easy access in central Brighton amongst all the shops and pubs.

China China for a more authentic but much more basic setting and a little further out from the centre but on Preston Street which is packed with restaurants whose menus you can check out.

Other excellent places to eat Asian/Indian cuisine include Moshimo for japanese so could get gyoza instead of dim sum.

Chilli pickle is my absolute favourite for Indian and they do momos which are Nepalese steamed dumplings (I think)

Indian summer and curry leaf cafe are close second.

To be honest I could write an essay on good places to eat as I'm a foodie and making it my mission to work my way through Brighton's best places to eat.

64 degrees is just a stunning if you want to spend a bit more and experience modern dining in an informal setting. Gets very booked up though.

Dim Sum should be a brunch ish time affair. I am not sure you would find it in the evening.

Thanks for the above.
Myti - I've seen reference to dim sum being served till 5pm, do you happen to know for certain if any of the above serve it into the evening?

Have been to Chilli Pickle and really enjoyed it - will be looking to try elsewhere tonight though

Myti, any local food blogs you follow? I can’t afford to eat out much but I do enjoy reading about it.

Ta,

James

I'm pretty sure I've had dim sum at China China in the eve. Can't imagine gars not doing it in the eve either but maybe drop them a message if not sure.

James I don't follow any blogs but the Facebook page 'restaurants Brighton ' has heaps of reviews and write ups of the best and newest restaurants and food pubs local to Brighton. Picked up many a new place to try from that.

You do get dim sum in the evening but it is not common in fact quite a standout oddity when it occurs. some places will do some dimsum dishes in the evening but not do the trolley thing.
