Down for a few days and finally managed to get all the way up the Merchant's Incline. Rode around the Verne, the High Angle Batteries (where some loon in one of the tunnels had a huge sound generator sweeping from subsonic to supersonic) and all around the coastal path. Even found a new (to me) bike shop cum coffee shop in East on called Cycloccino.
This biking thing is fun.
