Scary as **** though. Life is cheap.
Watched it on a flight to LA a few weeks ago, which gave it added impact for me. Great film. Very powerful,, and a massive contrast to the LA I actually saw thankfully!

Superb buddy movie - widely lauded.
The Director wrote Training Day and has researched the LAPD extensively - with whom he has a love / hate relationship. He's gone to great lengths to make it authentic.

I enjoyed it, some nice touches, like when they are talking to a "friend" but he has his gun against the door of the car.
