My oldest son wants to buy an Elgato game capture set up so he can record & edit his game play to upload etc. I am not a gamer so have no idea about these things. The question is which system should he buy ?

My lad uses it to record from Xbox 360. He has the basic model, not the one with the better framerate. Seems to pop up on Amazon pretty frequently at a decent price. He's happy enough with it.
You basically need to check that whatever you're getting is compatible with whatever you have!
