...I have decided to fit an electric underfloor heating kit in our bathroom. The floor is currently a concrete slab (pretty sure it won't be insulated) with tiles on top. I plan to leave the existing tiles in place, lay insulation tile backer boards, then the electric heating mat, then tile on top. Can anyone see any obvious problem with this? It seems to answer all my needs.

NB the bathroom floor is currently a step down of approx 150mm. I'm not going to try and get it level with the rest of the house now, but can afford for it to be raised from the current level.

I was looking at a 150w/m2 kit such as Ambient, with the recommended tile backer boards from Marmox.

Has anyone any experience of these kits or can anyone recommend anything else better and or cheaper?

Thanks
