In a land of discontent and division I'd like to offer the hand of friendship.... from sunny Essex to Auld Abla.

Whit ye daein' th' nicht ?

I’m working this evening and sadly couldn’t find any haggis in the City.

But got some Glenkinchie 12 years tuck away in my desk (kindly given to me by a Scottish pal/client) and will be watching the Big Yin on Youtube.

On the way home, I’ll be listening to the ultimate Scot/Essex boy …. Rod the Mod …. In his Faces days, natch

Happy Rabbie Burns nicht

We did Chicken Balmoral last year.

Going more traditional this year with Haggis Neeps and Tatties.

I'm doing dry Jan but I'll raise a single dram to the Bard, its only fair! Got a nice bottle of Highland Park for Xmas.

We're having haggis, neeps and tatties later but I've already started on the whisky. Just opened a bottle of 16 year old Lagavulin and very tasty it is too.

Not listening to music yet - watching the Sweeney on tv!

Local pub is home to the Tam O'Shanter murals. A modern take on Burns classic poem, populated with people from the village.
There will be haggis neeps and tatties, there will be whisky and there will be live music. I'll be there after the wee man's in bed.

'Do you really want to know?'

'Erm - do i not?'

'OK - it is tasty though'
