Windows 7 software won't allow me to rotate my photos which is doing my head in!

What software should I download or buy?

I've tried Picasa in the past but I struggled with it. I am by own admission useless with computer stuff ๐Ÿ™

Can't you rotate pics in the Windows Picture Viewer?

I'd agree. Windows picture viewer on windows 7 at home works for me when looking at pictures taken from my iphone.

You are copying the pictures to the computer first aren't you? I don;t think you'll be able to rotate them while they're still on the phone.

Cant you just edit them on the iphone in the default photo app? Click edit when viewing the pic and there is a little rotate arrow, then save.

Most of the time I just edit my photos directly on the iPhone/iPad, typically using Snapseed which is excellent.

They are only cameraphone pics, and usually only get posted to Facebook etc, so I don't normally bother busting out high-powered PC photo-editing software like Photoshop.

There's a stupid glitch for the 4 & 4s that means that once they are on my PC they can't be saved after rotation.

Erm.. that sounds a bit odd - are you sure it's not just because the files are set to Read Only?

How exactly are you getting them on to the PC?

Using Microsofts photo software that came with Windows 7. I've had a google and its a v common problem. I agree it's a bit odd and it started with the 4 so you would think it would have been sorted by now.

If there's some setting I can try I am more than happy to take advice.

GrahamS, it will save the rest of the photos but not if I try and rotate them.

This annoyance happens whenever the missus emails me a picture of our son, taken with her phone. Inevitably they're snapped in portrait and I then can't save them once rotated. ๐Ÿ˜ก

I use ZoomBrowserEX on my laptop.

It came with a Canon camera a while back, but you can download it for free.

You need to move your pics from your iphone and save them into a folder on your pc. Then you should be able to edit them as normal.

Is iOS up-to-date on your iPhone?

Apple seems to reckon that will fix it.
