[Closed] Edinburgh Dwellers: - Where to Eat?

Heading up the road for a [s]dirty[/s] romantical weekend with Mrs S. we moved away from Edinburgh a good few years ago so seriously out of touch with good eateries.

Looking for something mid range so a better than Nando's and cheaper than The Tower. Ideally Old Town, big fan of small restaurants with character.

Preference is french, italian or scottish styleee but open minded.

We had a great (fun and tasty) meal at Viva Mexico when we went last year.
