As a fan of Krautrock I spent a lot of time listening to Tangerine Dream many years ago groundbreaking in their time

Just heard the news on the radio. I also spent a lot of time "immersed" in their music, back in the day. RIP

๐Ÿ™ A legend.

'Aqua' kept me company through a long and insomnia-laden convalescence/rehab. Thanks for the music Mr Froese. Rest in cosmic blips and floating drips.

(Factlet - A 23 year old Edgar gave a series of concerts at Salvador Dali's mansion in 1967, with Dali playing the piano waist deep in water)

Some fabulous tracks, thankfully one of the few bits of vinyl I kept!!
By the time I saw them in concert it was 1980 and they'd already re-invented themselves, some great film scores too - Risky Business (!), Wages of Fear..

Shame.

That's a shame, TD were the first Krautrock/synth band I ever heard, oddly enough playing live on a Jimmy Saville show broadcast from Germany, after which I found an import copy of Ziet in Virgin Records in Bristol. Ricochet is probably my favourite TD album, and somewhere I've still got one of the promotional posters for it.
