Fieldhead for facilities and the pub, upper booth for more basic camping

Good luck if you are thinking for this weekend - I tried over 10 places in the Dark Peak for a one night stay and all either said they are full or would only accept 2 nights minimum.

Fieldhead did say that if we turned up on the Sat morning there may be a small chance that they could accommodate us. Might be an option for you.

I've been to upper booth, it was very basic indeed but enough for what we wanted. and quite cheap too.

no experience of field head though so can't give a comparison

There's also a campsite midway between barber booth and edale. One of the farms on the way up to Barber Booth offers very basic camping. Its the one on the sharp right bend about 500m after the car parking on the Barber Booth road. There's also a campsite at Nether Booth and Coopers in Edale itself. Coopers Cafe is open from 07:30.
