I'v started an auction for mobile phone at 99p, is it just a fact of life that I will get numerous "what price will you end the auction for?" messages?
TBH I might pull it and try mazuma etc...does anyone know if they are bad for not paying out at their top level?
IME if you are getting buy it now offers then it'll go for reasonable money. You just need to hold your nerve.
What phone?
How much to end now?
nightmare selling phones on ebay.
It'll go for a ridiculous price and someone will ask you to send it to nigeria. I actually had scammers trying to outbid each other last time.
Search the completed listings on Ebay to see what they've sold for recently.
My last few phones I haven't bothered Ebaying as the recycling companies paid out more than Ebay were selling for (or the same price but you don't have any associated fee's/hassle).
I've used a couple of different companies and they've always paid out what they offered.
Thanks - I did check sold prices, and aimed it well under the average for "mint" (battery not the best and smaller memory card than new). It didn't sell so I've re-auctioned as above.
I'll check that site out, ta.
EDIT that's way more than I expected. Will bin ebay!
FYI I've successfully used:
Fonebank ( http://www.fonebank.com)
Money For Your Phone ( http://www.moneyforyourphone.com)
I think there was a thread on here a while ago suggesting the ones people had used successfully.
There's a comparison site by MSE, I'll see if I can find it. Hang on.
guy at work buys mobiles off ebay and sells them on to the phone buying co's
Sets his limit what he's prepared to buy at, says does him all right for beer money etc..
